What Is the Pebb Shift Schedule?
The Shift Schedule in Pebb is a comprehensive employee scheduling tool enabling managers to plan, assign, and publish work schedules — all within the same platform where employees communicate. Accessible at app.pebb.io inside any Space.
Two types of shifts are supported: Assigned Shifts (to specific employees) and Open Shifts (any eligible member can claim).
The Shift Schedule Interface
Assigned Shifts View: Calendar grid with team members in rows, days in columns.
Open Shifts View: Time-based calendar showing available shifts employees can claim.
Calendar Views: Switch between Day, Week, and Month views.
Summary Bar: Shows Shifts, Hours, Shift Slots, Roles, Members, Labor Cost, and Sales.
Creating a Shift
Click + Create Shift. The modal includes:
Title: Name the shift (e.g., "Morning Shift").
Note: Instructions or info employees need.
Date and Time: Start/end pickers, Repeating Shift toggle, Unpaid Break toggle.
Members: Assign Members tab or Open Shift tab. Set Shift as Accepted toggle to auto-accept.
Decline Policy: Allow or Don't Allow members to unclaim after accepting.
Allow Swap Requests: Members can request to swap shifts.
Shift Role: Associate with a job role.
Address and Place: Location for multi-site organizations.
Save Options: Save as Template, Save as Draft, or Publish.
Open Shifts
Unassigned shifts any eligible member can claim. Ideal for flexible staffing, covering absences, or extra hours.
Templates
Access saved shift configurations for quick scheduling. Apply and adjust instead of building from scratch.
Repeating Shifts
Enable the Repeating Shift toggle for recurring schedules — daily, weekly, or custom patterns.
Sales Tracking
Input or view sales targets alongside the schedule for data-driven staffing decisions.
Reporting
Generate reports with shift details, hours, member coverage, and labor cost analytics for payroll and compliance.
Notifications
Notify button sends push notifications to team members about shifts, changes, or open shift availability.
My Availability
Employees indicate availability preferences. Managers view this data when scheduling to minimize conflicts.
Publish Schedule
Click Publish to make the schedule visible to team members. Drafts are manager-only until published.
