Creating a dedicated Training Space in Pebb is one of the best ways to onboard new hires smoothly and keep all learning materials in one place.
Instead of sharing files, links, and checklists across different chats or tools, your team can now access everything — from training videos to policies, digital forms, and onboarding tasks — right inside one organized Space.
This guide walks you through how to set it up. 👇
🧭 Step 1: Create the Space
1️⃣ Click Create New Space.
2️⃣ Name it something clear like “🎓 New Employee Training” or “Onboarding Hub.”
3️⃣ Set the Space type to Everyone if you want all new hires to join automatically — or Private if you prefer to invite them manually.
💡 Tip: You can also create separate Spaces for specific roles or departments (like “Front Desk Training” or “Kitchen Onboarding”) to tailor materials for each team.
🧩 Step 2: Add the Right Features
Once the Space is created, go to ⚙️ Settings → Edit Space.
Here, you can turn on the features that make onboarding simple and structured:
✅ Wiki – Store written guides, policies, and step-by-step onboarding topics.
✅ Files – Upload training videos, manuals, and PDFs.
✅ News Feed – Post welcome messages, announcements, and progress updates.
✅ Tasks – Assign onboarding checklists or daily learning goals.
✅ Digital Forms – Collect feedback, quizzes, or confirmation forms (e.g., “I’ve completed safety training”).
✅ Links – Add quick access to external systems like payroll, scheduling, or HR tools.
💡 Example setup:
Your “New Employee Training” Space might include:
Wiki: “Safety Procedures,” “Customer Service 101,” “Company Culture”
Files: Training videos and reference PDFs
Tasks: “Complete Intro Course,” “Read Employee Handbook,” “Submit First Form”
Digital Forms: “Training Completion Checklist,” “New Hire Feedback,” “Safety Acknowledgment Form”
Feed: A pinned welcome post with next steps
📝 Step 3: Add a Welcome Post
Head to the News Feed and write a friendly welcome message for new hires.
Example post:
Welcome to the team! 👋
We’re so happy to have you here.
To get started:
1️⃣ Read the topics in the Wiki (“Safety,” “Policies,” and “Payroll”).
2️⃣ Watch the training videos in Files.
3️⃣ Complete the Onboarding Checklist Form and submit it when finished.
4️⃣ Check your Tasks list and mark items as done.
Have questions? Comment below or message your manager in the Training Chat.
💡 Tip: Pin this post so new hires always see it first when opening the Space.
🧑🏫 Step 4: Keep It Updated
Keep your Training Space alive — it’s more than just a first-week resource.
Post updates in the Feed (e.g., “New Training Module Added”).
Add or edit Digital Forms for new topics or feedback.
Update Wiki articles whenever policies change.
Archive old content to keep the Space clean and relevant.
💡 Pro Tip: You can duplicate this Space later for other teams or branches — e.g., “Sales Onboarding” or “Kitchen Staff Training.”
🏁 That’s It!
Once your Training Space is set up, new hires will have everything they need — learning materials, checklists, forms, and updates — all in one easy place.
It’s the fastest way to onboard people confidently, stay organized, and make every new employee feel part of the team from day one.
