Creating a dedicated Training Space in Pebb is one of the best ways to onboard new hires smoothly and keep all learning materials in one place.
Instead of sharing files and instructions across different chats or tools, your team can now access everything — from training videos to policies and checklists — right inside one organized Space.
This guide walks you through how to set it up. 👇
🧭 Step 1: Create the Space
1. Create New Space.
2. Name it something clear like “New Employee Training” or “Onboarding Hub.”
3. Set the Space type to Everyone if you want all new hires to automatically join it — or Private if you’d like to invite them manually.
💡 Tip: You can also create a Space just for managers or trainers if you prefer to keep certain materials private.
🧩 Step 2: Add the Right Features
Once the Space is created, click ⚙️ Settings → Edit Space.
Here, you can turn on/off the features you’ll need for training:
✅ Wiki – Store written guides, policies, and onboarding topics.
✅ Files – Upload training PDFs, videos, and documents.
✅ News Feed – Post welcome messages, announcements, and training steps.
✅ Tasks – Assign onboarding checklists or daily learning goals.
✅ Links – Add quick access to important external tools (like payroll or HR systems).
💡 Example setup:
Your “New Employee Training” Space might include:
Wiki: “Safety Procedures,” “Payroll Info,” “Customer Service 101”
Files: PDFs and learning videos
Tasks: “Complete intro training,” “Read the employee guide”
Feed: A welcome post with next steps
📝 Step 3: Add a Welcome Post
Go to the News Feed and write a friendly welcome post for new employees.
Here’s an example you can copy and adjust:
Welcome to the team! 👋
We’re so happy to have you here.
To get started, please:
1️⃣ Read the topics in the Wiki (“Safety,” “Policies,” and “Payroll”).
2️⃣ Open Onboarding_Guide.pdf in the Files section.
3️⃣ Check the Tasks list and mark each step as complete as you go.
If you have any questions, comment below or reach out in the “Training Chat.”
💡 Tip: Pin this post so new hires always see it first when they open the Space.
🧑🏫 Step 4: Keep It Updated
Keep the training Space alive — it’s not just for week one!
Here are a few ways to keep it valuable:
Post reminders or updates in the Feed (e.g., “New Policy Added!”).
Add new Wiki topics whenever you update company procedures.
Encourage new hires to post questions or comments during their onboarding week.
Archive outdated files or posts to keep the Space clean and relevant.
💡 Tip: You can duplicate this Space later for different branches or roles (for example, “Sales Training” or “Kitchen Staff Onboarding”).
🏁 That’s It!
Once your Training Space is set up, your new employees will have everything they need to get started — clear instructions, important files, and one easy place to ask questions.
It’s the perfect way to make onboarding smoother and help new hires feel part of the team from day one.
